After the summer break Kelvin van der Linde is raring to get back into his Car Collection Audi R8 but is cautious ahead of the Spielberg round.
Speaking before the event van der Linde said,
“Red Bull Ring is historically one of Audi’s less successful racetracks on the calendar, although we did score a podium there in 2014. 2016 will be interesting though, thanks to the wide range of new GT3 cars on the grid, so it is still a bit unknown how each manufacturer will perform.”
“We were limited within our team for testing during the break, which is not optimal but I still believe that we will be in with a fighting chance as always. On the plus side, my mental batteries are once again fully charged after spending a week with family and friends in South Africa, so I’m really looking forward to the second half of the season — bring it on!”
While van der Linde will be re-joining regular co-driver Isaac Tutumlu Lopez, Jordan Pepper will have to get to grips with a new partner.

After two days of testing last week during which particular attention was paid to how the various drivers in the squad complement each other, the Bentley Team Abt have decided to pair Jordan Pepper with Daniel Abt in the #7 Bentley Continental GT3.
Speaking yesterday afternoon Pepper said,
“The Action is about to start again and I can finally say it’s race week. I will not be back in the #9 Bentley however, I am now teaming up with Daniel Abt in the yellow #7 Deutsche Post Bentley Continental GT3 and we are ready to fight for some really strong results. I am massively thankful to the team for this opportunity.”
“We have also worked hard over the summer break so we are ready to make a big step forward, while the Red Bull Ring should also better suit the Bentley with the fast flowing nature of the track, so we are keen to see where we will be after qualifying. Spielberg is a really cool and unique racetrack with incredible facilities – I can not wait – it is going to be a great weekend racing in the Austrian Mountains!”

The Red Bull Ring event is the fifth round of the German ADAC Formula 4 championship and Jonathan Aberdein heads to Austria anticipating another step forward. He has enjoyed steady progress through his rookie year and was excited by his progress in recent testing.
“I’ve been flat out testing and flying since the last race,” Jonathan explained on the back of his best outing in the series when he scored a solid fourth at Oschersleben last time out. “I’m very much looking forward to racing at Red Bull Ring — our recent testing went very well — it’s been positive and I can’t wait to drive the car again and I’m really excited to start the second half of the season on a high.”
